As one of the biggest events in Switzerland the Streetparade attracts a huge crowd of electronic music lovers from all over the world. I even met a guy I know from Singapore while looking for some other friends - What a small world! 

Statement Necklaces - My Summer Highlights

I'm totally in love with statement necklaces this summer! A statement necklace immediately adds serious glam to every look. Just add it to a rather casual look like jeans and white shirt or wear it with your favorite little black dress for an effortless ensemble.

Some tips for styling statement necklaces:

• Keep your outfit simple - the necklace stands out for itself
• Most statement necklaces look best with a crew neck
• Don't wear a lot of other jewelry

Weekend in Graz

This weekend we spent some time in Graz, my boyfriends' hometown to spent some time with his family. Graz is a cute town in the Steiermark region and I always enjoy going here. On Saturday morning we went to the farmers' market to shop some flowers and other local specialties. I enjoy strolling through markets so much and I can't leave without buying flowers :-) Later that day we went to see a show of the world famous festival La Strada, an International Festival of Street Art and Puppet Theater. The show was really cool, especially in the historical backdrop of Graz.

Summer Weekends in Zurich

I love Summer Weekends in Zurich! Strolling through the City, relaxing at the lake, cruising on a boat, driving along the lakeside and hanging out in cute cafes in the old town "Niederdörfli" - that's all I need sometimes for a relaxed weekend in between all the travelling.

Located not directly in the city but just a short drive along the lakeside is one of my favorite places around Zurich: Ristorante Strozzis Strandhaus - The absolute holiday feeling! Sometimes we also go there by boat, which is even more vacay mode ;-) The decor is not very plush, it's rather like you'd expect it in a simple beach hut - though the people are. AND another great thing is, they are serving Moet & Chandon Ice Imperial, my favorite Champagne! As you can imagine, it's pretty hard to beat this spot!

Who doesn't love Summer?!? For me Summer is the best time of the year and I wish I could go back to live in Singapore or another country where they have Summer all year round. But as I am currently living in Zurich I enjoy unpacking all my summer clothes after the long winter month even more! Opening those cute shoe boxes is by far my greatest pleasure when preparing my closet for summer. I could do it all day and can't wait to wear all of them! It is also always a nice little surprise when you kind of rediscover a pair of nice sandals you didn't think about in a while :-)

Moon & Stars Festival @ Locarno

On friday we drove to beautiful Locarno to see Bryan Adams at the famous Moon & Stars Festival. Usually it’s just a 2.5-3 hrs ride and you are in the middle of Ticino, the italian part of Switzerland. For me it’s the most beautiful part of Switzerland, because you feel like you’d be in a cute Italian village and the weather is mild throughout the year so there are palm trees around the lakes. The mountain views are incredible escpecially during the night when the lights of the small villages seem to be stars in the nightsky.

The Moon& Stars Festival is an outdoor festival taking place at the Piazza Grande in the city center of Locarno. It’s a really special atmosphere being at a concert in the middle of a colorful illuminated Italien-style Piazza on a warm summer night. I’m not a super huge fan of Bryan Adams but I always liked his music and it was the best possibility to experience the unique Moon & Stars atmosphere. And it was absolutely worth it: his show was great and we really enjoyed the evening.

We stayed in the winery/resort Fattoria L’Amorosa, which is near Locarno and has cute guest houses in the vineyards all around the area. The rooms’ interior was very cozy and the breaky the next day was served on a beautiful terrace surrounded by vineyards.

Am Freitag fuhren wir ins schöne Locarno, um dort Bryan Adams beim berühmten Moon & Stars Festival zu sehen. Die Fahrt dauert ca. 2,5-3 Std und man ist mitten im Tessin, dem italienischen Teil der Schweiz. Ich finde es ist der schönste Teil der Schweiz, weil man sich vorkommt wie in einem süssen, kleinen italienischen Dörfchen und weil das Wetter hier immer so schön ist, dass um die Seen herum Palmen wachsen. Der Blick in die Berge ist auch super schön, vor allem nachts, wenn die Lichter der Bergdörfer mit dem Sternenhimmel verschmelzen.

Das Moon & Stars ist ein Open-Air Festival auf der Piazza Grande, im Stadtkern von Locarno. Die Atmosphäre, inmitten der bunt beleuchteten Italienischen Fassaden ein Konzert zu geniessen, ist wirklich sehr speziell. Muss man mal gemacht haben!

Ich bin kein riesiger Fan von Bryan Adams aber seine Musik höre ich ganz gerne mal und es war die beste Möglichkeit mal die Moon and Stars Atmorphäre zu erleben. Und es hat sich gelohnt: Die Show war super und wir hatten einen tollen Abend!

Übernachtet haben wir dann in der Nähe von Locarno in der Fattoria L’Amorosa, ein Weingut/Resort mit kleinen Gasthäuschen in den umliegenden Weinbergen. Die Häuschen waren sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und beim Frühstück sassen wir wunderschön auf der Terasse inmitten des Weingebiets.

...Was in feinstem Singlish so viel heisst, wie 'Lang ists her'...seit ich meinen letzten "richtigen" Blogpost geschrieben habe. Die Bilder- und Short-Message Services, wie Twitter, Instagram und Pinterest verleiten einen einfach immer mehr dazu, keine grossen Reden zu schwingen, sondern die Bilder bzw. Hashtags sprechen zu lassen. ABER ich werde mal ab jetzt wieder ein bisschen mehr Content produzieren, und zwar hier. Hope you enjoy :-) ZRH.
